Dayle Haddon passed away on Friday, December 27, at the age of 76.
Authorities reported that Haddon’s death was due to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at the Pennsylvania home of her son-in-law, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Marc Blucas.
According to CBC, the Canadian actress and former supermodel was found deceased at Blucas’s Bucks County, New Jersey home after police responded to the scene.
An officer noted high levels of carbon monoxide inside the property, likely caused by a heating unit malfunction. Investigations are ongoing.
Following her death, Dayle’s daughter, Ryan Haddon, paid tribute to her mother on Instagram.
“The bright light that is Dayle has dimmed in this Earthly realm. Shining somewhere as radiantly as ever where it’s most needed, I have no doubt,” Ryan wrote.
Ryan also shared photos of her mother’s magazine covers and her work as a UNICEF ambassador.
“There are no accidents, and how we enter and exit this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a high-hearted spiritual being who valued her soul’s evolution, so I know her journey here in this dimension must have been complete,” Ryan added.
Dayle Haddon was known for her roles in movies like Disney’s The World’s Greatest Athlete and North Dallas Forty alongside Nick Nolte. She also signed contracts with renowned cosmetic brands, including Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder, and L’Oréal, during her modeling career.
