The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has revealed updated statistics on the total number of registered voters in the country, which now stands at 132.2 million. The report provides detailed insights into the distribution of voters by gender and region.
Gender Distribution of Voters
Out of the total electorate, 71.1 million are male voters, comprising 53.74% of the total, while 61.2 million are female voters, accounting for 46.26%.
Provincial Breakdown
- Punjab: Punjab leads with the highest number of voters, totaling 75.3 million. This includes 41.2 million men and 35.1 million women.
- Sindh: Sindh follows with 27.7 million voters, of which 14.9 million are men and 12.7 million are women.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): KP has a total voter count of 22.5 million, comprising 12.2 million men and 10.2 million women.
- Balochistan: Balochistan has 5.5 million voters, with 3.1 million men and 2.4 million women.
Federal Capital and Major Cities
Islamabad, the federal capital, has the smallest voter population, with 1.15 million registered voters, including 605,031 men and 549,440 women. Among major cities, Karachi leads with 9.53 million voters, followed by Lahore with 7.14 million, Peshawar with 2.15 million, and Quetta with 0.88 million voters.
