Good news has emerged for users frustrated with slow internet speeds: the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has made a principal decision to grant a license to Starlink.
According to details, the prospects of soon receiving high-speed satellite internet in Pakistan have brightened, as the PTA has taken this important step.
PTA officials stated that the license for Starlink is ready; only security clearance is pending. As soon as the security clearance is obtained, the license will be issued to Starlink. The company will need to enter into a commercial agreement with SUPARCO to provide services in Pakistan.
The PTA further noted that Starlink must submit this commercial agreement to the PTA. It is expected that Starlink’s service will commence in less than a year, allowing every citizen in the country to access internet services via satellite.
