The 12th edition of the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar, IDEAS, has been held at the Expo Center Karachi.
Organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Defense Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), IDEAS aims to promote Pakistan’s defense industry on an international scale. This exhibition and seminar take place every two years.
The event showcases locally manufactured defense equipment from Pakistan, along with displays from major global defense companies.
IDEAS 2024 will run from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Center, featuring international defense exhibitors, delegates, security analysts, and high-level policymakers.
Defense production and exports are key focus areas for the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
In recent years, both public and private defense industries in Pakistan have gained significant expertise in producing defense equipment, marking a crucial milestone towards self-reliance in the defense sector.
IDEAS 2024 provides an excellent platform for international partners to showcase their defense production.
The event will be attended by senior government officials from the region, diplomats, presidents of chambers of commerce, business communities, and media representatives.
