Washington: U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the killing of Hassan Nasrallah has provided justice to many victims.
In a statement, Biden accused Nasrallah and Hezbollah of being responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans, asserting that the Hezbollah leader’s demise brings justice to thousands of Americans, Israelis, and Lebanese citizens.
Biden emphasized that the United States fully supports Israel’s right to defend itself against Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and other Iranian-backed terrorist groups.
He further mentioned that he has instructed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to strengthen the U.S. military presence in the region to prevent Iran from escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Biden expressed the desire for the U.S. to reduce ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon through diplomatic means, stating that it is time to eliminate threats to Israel and establish stability in the Middle East.
