Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at the United Nations Security Council meeting, expressed his commitment to improving relations with the global community.
According to international news agencies, President Pezeshkian addressed the UN General Assembly, stating that he seeks a “constructive” start in his country’s international relations. He emphasized that if all parties act in good faith, Iran is willing to engage in discussions regarding the nuclear agreement.
Furthermore, President Pezeshkian expressed Iran’s readiness to enhance ties with every nation, including Western countries, but stressed that the efforts must be mutual.
The Iranian president also harshly criticized Israel, condemning the atrocities in Gaza, labeling them as genocide, and decrying crimes against humanity. He pointed out that this aggression has now extended to Lebanon alongside Palestine.
Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s desire for peace for all and clarified that the country harbors no intention of engaging in conflict with any nation. He also underscored the need for an immediate end to the military conflict in Ukraine, calling for peace and resolution.
