Tehran: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have detained 12 individuals accused of working in collaboration with Israel.
According to the Iranian news agency “Fars,” sources within the Revolutionary Guards confirmed the arrests, stating that all detained individuals were working for the enemy state of Israel.
The sources did not disclose when or where the arrests took place, nor did they reveal the identities of those detained.
It is important to note that such arrests are common in Iran; however, this incident marks the first instance of detaining alleged collaborators following the mysterious assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in a sensitive building in Tehran.
Both Hamas and Iran have blamed Israel for Haniyeh’s assassination and have threatened retaliation.
Previously, Iran has attributed several major operations to Israeli involvement, including the assassination of nuclear program head Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Israel is believed to carry out such operations in Iran with the assistance of local individuals.
