HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A popular western wear store that has been a staple in Houston for two decades has reopened its doors after an unexpected closure in June.
Pinto Ranch welcomed customers back to both their Houston and Dallas stores on Friday.
The store’s former owner, Guido Caranti, recently sold the business in an effort to save it.
“We understand there was uncertainty about Pinto Ranch’s reopening, but we worked diligently with the previous owner to preserve this iconic Texas brand. We are excited to announce the reopening of our Dallas and Houston locations and to welcome back our valued customers,” COO Lamar McCubbin said in a news release.
On June 17, reported several customers arriving at the Post Oak Plaza store only to find a sign on the door stating, “This store is closed until further notice.” Neighboring businesses confirmed that Pinto Ranch had closed sometime the previous week.
A post on Pinto Ranch’s social media on June 7 advertised a summer sale.
