HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department responded to a report of a body found in the water on the city’s westside on Saturday.
An HPD dive team was dispatched at around 6:30 p.m. to a bayou near 1704 South Highway 6, close to Barker Oaks Drive.
According to HPD, Precinct 5 deputies are leading the investigation.
It is currently unclear how long the body had been in the bayou, and officers did not provide details about its condition.
