HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — All eastbound lanes of Highway 90 are currently closed near Sheldon Road in east Harris County as authorities investigate a fatal accident.
Preliminary reports from Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez suggest that a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the 2000 block of the Crosby Freeway. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the location of the incident.
To facilitate the investigation, traffic is being redirected off the freeway at the Sheldon Road exit. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid delays in the area.
