HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A cold front moved through Texas last night into this morning bringing severe weather to North Texas and weaker showers/storms to SE Texas. Cooler and drier air moved in today behind the front leaving us with mostly sunny skies.
These clear skies will continue through the evening but clouds will start to build back in early tomorrow morning. We could also see some patchy fog. We will also see more moisture stream in which could allow for a few showers to pop up across parts of SE Texas. Showers should be hit or miss and most of us will miss out on the rain. Highs Sunday should top out in the low 80s.
How is the rest of the weekend shaping up?
Moisture moves back in Sunday bringing back mostly cloudy skies and a slight chance for rain.
When does the time change occur?
That occurs in the early morning hours of Sunday, at precisely 2 a.m. to be exact. After that happens, expect the sun to rise a little after 6:30 a.m. and set right around 5:30 p.m.
What can I expect for my work week?
Overall, it looks like a pleasant week with temperatures warming into the low to mid 80s each day and mostly dry conditions. We could see our next cold front move in on Friday which should cool us down just in time for next weekend.
What’s happening in the tropics?
There are two areas of potential development in the Atlantic… neither look to be any sort of threat to Texas. For the very latest, check out our daily tropical update.
