Indian actress Shilpa Shetty and dancer-turned-actress Nora Fatehi have been cleared of charges in a 2022 cocaine case. Mumbai Police have confirmed that there is no evidence against them. According to police officials, after the investigation, it was clear that there is no link between Shilpa Shetty, Nora Fatehi, and other accused celebrities to the alleged cocaine network. The authorities stated that there is no evidence of any celebrity’s involvement in the case. This case came to light in August 2022 when Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch and Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested alleged cocaine peddler Salim Sheikh. Bollywood stars also came under scrutiny, with the Delhi Enforcement Directorate summoning Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez. During the raid, 1.19 lakh rupees worth of Mephedrone was seized, and the accused claimed that he had supplied cocaine to celebrities at various events. Later in 2025, the Anti-Narcotics Cell investigated several individuals, including Shilpa Shetty and Nora Fatehi, in this case. However, during the investigation, no concrete evidence of cocaine trafficking or use was found against any individual.
Police officials said that the initial chargesheet has been filed against three accused, and additional chargesheets will be filed against two more arrested individuals and one absconding accused.
