The Delhi High Court has reserved its judgment in the check bounce case against actor Rajpal Yadav. It is worth noting that Yadav was detained for a short period in Tihar Jail in the initial stages of this case this year. During the hearing, the court raised questions about the contradictions in Yadav’s stance and stated that there is a difference between the promises made and the current statements. The counsel for the complainant argued that Yadav has already accepted the sentence and cannot now escape responsibility. The court suggested a settlement between the parties, but Yadav refused to accept it. In a video link, he said, “I am not emotional, they have sent me to jail five times.” It is worth noting that this dispute has been ongoing since 2010, when the renowned comedian took a loan of Rs 5 crore to make his film “Ata Pata Laapata.” The film was a major flop and the financial dispute escalated to Rs 9 crore. In 2018, the trial court sentenced Yadav to six months in prison, which was upheld in 2019.
