A 3-year-old daughter of Singapore’s former footballer, Razif Mohd, suffered a tongue burn at a private restaurant in Singapore due to the negligence of the restaurant staff. According to reports, on February 1, the restaurant staff mistakenly filled a water bottle with hot water instead of cold water, causing the toddler to suffer a tongue burn. Razif Mohd, 41, shared the details of the incident on social media on February 4. The woman has admitted to four charges under the Wildlife Act.
In a Facebook post, Razif Mohd explained that an ordinary outing turned into a hospital visit, as the staff filled the water bottle with hot water instead of cold water, causing his daughter’s tongue to burn. He stated that he had requested cold water for his daughter’s bottle, but the staff member mistakenly filled it with hot water due to a misunderstanding. As soon as his daughter took a sip from the bottle, she cried out in pain, and they immediately took her to the hospital.
Razif Mohd wrote that there was no warning sign on the water bottle, and he assumed that it contained the cold water he had requested. He stated that if the staff had been more careful, the incident could have been prevented. According to reports, the toddler suffered for several days due to the burn and was also emotionally affected.
After the incident came to light, the private restaurant issued an apology, acknowledging their mistake. The incident highlights the importance of staff training and attention to detail in the service industry.
