HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — After dropping 1 to 2 inches of rain in many spots south of I-10, the main band of rain will depart southeast Texas overnight.
Temperatures will slowly fall into the upper 50s under a mainly cloudy sky. The weather disturbance powering all the rain and clouds the last few days will move overhead Tuesday morning, and it’ll still have enough moisture to bring about a 30% chance for a morning shower. Once it passes to our east around noontime, then the sun will start to come out in many places around Southeast Texas. Temperatures will make a run for 70 but likely fall short in most spots. If your location remains cloudy all day, then you can for sure expect to get sunshine returning on Wednesday.
This coming weekend is the last one before Thanksgiving. How does the weather look?
Saturday looks delightful at this time, with pleasant temperatures in the 70s and lots of sunshine. A weather system passing to our north on Sunday could bring some showers and thunderstorms, so for now, we’ve penciled in a 30% chance for rain on Sunday. Temperatures will again be in a seasonal range with lows in the 50s and highs near 70. This weather system is expected to bring a higher chance of rain on Monday.
What’s the early forecast for Thanksgiving?
Assuming the next rainy weather system clears out on schedule next Tuesday, we should get really nice weather to follow for Thanksgiving Day. At this time, we are predicting sunshine with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s, but given that this is still 10 days out, much is subject to change. We’ll keep you posted if the outlook changes in any appreciable way!
