Islamabad, Pakistan β Federal Minister for Energy Owais Leghari adopted a firm stance on the ongoing political narrative against state institutions, declaring that any individual creating a false narrative and running a toxic campaign against the Pakistan Army is not entitled to any kind of leniency. He emphasized that national integrity cannot be compromised under the guise of freedom of expression.
In a statement released from Islamabad, Owais Leghari commended the decisive stance taken by the state institution regarding the founder of the PTI. He asserted that the DG ISPR’s press conference on December 5 was the “voice of the entire nation,” which exposed a personality who considered himself an “all-knowing” leader crafted by specific forces.
The Federal Minister stressed the critical importance of national security, stating, “Freedom of expression can never supersede the country’s sovereignty.” He made it clear that his party fully supports action against those running the “enemy’s campaign” under the cloak of free speech.
Tribute to the Field Marshal’s Leadership
Owais Leghari paid tribute to the courageous and patriotic leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir. He credited the Field Marshal with raising the nation’s head high by delivering a crushing defeat to an enemy “eight times more powerful,” significantly enhancing Pakistan’s prestige globally.
He highlighted the Field Marshal’s clear and unambiguous policy against the Fitna-e-Khawarij (terrorism) as a “proud achievement,” expressing strong confidence that Pakistan will achieve further progress and respect under his military leadership.
