YouTube has introduced an interesting new update for its users, rolling out a new animated “Like” button designed to make the video-watching experience more dynamic.
The feature, which was first announced in mid-October 2025 as part of several user interface changes, has now begun its rollout. For now, this new animated “Like” button is limited to specific videos rather than being a platform-wide change.
When a user clicks the “Like” button on an eligible video, they will see a short, thematic animation. According to reports, there are currently 20 different animations available. The animation shown depends on the type of video being viewed.
For example, if you are watching a video related to cars or auto racing, pressing the “Like” button will trigger a brief animation of a spinning, smoking tire.
