A significant wildfire has erupted in the Spin Ghar forests located in the Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan, posing a serious threat to the region’s natural ecosystem.
Officials from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) confirmed the incident on Friday. According to the PDMA, authorities are concerned as the blaze is actively spreading and moving towards the neighboring Zhob mountain range, which could escalate the situation.
In response to the emergency, PDMA officials have taken immediate action. A specialized team equipped with firefighting gear, including “fireballs” used for suppressing such blazes, has been dispatched to Qila Saifullah to combat the fire and prevent it from spreading further into the mountainous terrain.
