On January 19, Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra married Himani Mor, a former tennis player, in a private ceremony.
Neeraj shared glimpses of the wedding on social media, which was attended only by close family members and friends. The ceremony took place in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
Along with the wedding photos, Neeraj wrote: “Started a new chapter of life with my family.” He further added, “Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment. Connected with love, forever in happiness.”
The Ceremony and Plans The wedding was a private affair with around 40-50 guests, including close friends and family.
According to sources, the couple is currently on their honeymoon in the United States, and a grand celebration will be organized once they return to India.
This wedding took place after Neeraj won his second Olympic medal, a silver in the Paris Games. He made history in javelin throw by winning the gold medal at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.
Who is Himani Mor? Himani Mor hails from Sonipat, Haryana, and is a former tennis player with a background in sports management. She is a graduate of Miranda House, Delhi University, and has studied sports management and business administration in the United States.
Currently, Himani is pursuing a master’s degree at the Iceberg School of Management and serves as the manager of the Amherst College, Massachusetts women’s tennis team. Her professional career also includes significant roles in sports administration, business development, and strategic planning.
