A media briefing in Washington D.C. turned awkward when White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt was confronted with a highly sensitive question regarding the construction of a “Third Temple” in Jerusalem.
During the press conference, a journalist directly asked Leavitt, “Is President Trump considering building the Third Temple in Jerusalem?”
The question, which touches upon one of the most volatile religious and political issues at the heart of the Middle East conflict, appeared to fluster the spokesperson.
Rather than providing a clear answer or clarifying US policy, Leavitt immediately deflected the query. Visibly uncomfortable, she apologized and offered a brief dismissal: “No, I don’t know about that,” effectively shutting down any further discussion on the controversial topic.
