WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its beta version that allows users to create and share events in one-on-one chats.
This feature, included in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.3.6 for Android and version 25.2.10.73 for iOS, enables users to schedule and manage events within private conversations.
According to the WABetaInfo report, this functionality had been under development but is now available to some beta testers. It had previously existed in group chats but was not accessible in individual conversations.
With this introduction, users no longer need to rely on external calendars or third-party apps for scheduling personal appointments and one-on-one meetings. The event creation option has been integrated into the sharing menu within private chats, alongside camera, gallery, and document sharing options.
Users can input event details such as name, date, time, location, and even generate a WhatsApp video or voice call link. Those enrolled in the WhatsApp beta programme on Android or iOS can update their applications to check the availability of the feature. If unavailable, it is expected to roll out soon to all users, including non-beta participants.
