Islamabad: After an 18-year hiatus, the West Indies team arrived in Pakistan to play a two-match Test series. The visitors will play a three-day practice match against Pakistan Shaheens starting January 10 as part of their preparation.
The West Indies team landed in Islamabad on January 6 and will train at Multan Cricket Stadium in the coming days. This tour marks the first Test series between the two nations in nearly 20 years since their last encounter in 2006.
Pakistan and West Indies have played 54 Test matches, with Pakistan leading the head-to-head record with 21 wins, while West Indies has won 18 Tests, and 15 matches ended in draws. The last Test series between these two sides was in 2021 in the Caribbean, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
