Walmart stores throughout North Texas will host a Wellness Day to help families prepare for the back-to-school season.
On Saturday, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Walmart will offer free wellness checkups and affordable immunizations. Families can take advantage of free screenings for glucose, cholesterol, BMI, and blood pressure, with some stores also providing free vision screenings.
Affordable immunizations will be available for flu, HPV, pneumonia, tetanus, hepatitis A & B, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), and more.

“Our Walmart Health & Wellness team is excited to once again participate in two of the largest Back-to-School fairs in America,” said Shantay Peloquin, Walmart Regional Health & Wellness Director. “We are eager to offer essential health and vision screenings and support students and families across the Metroplex as they prepare for the new school year.”
Pharmacists and opticians from local Walmart stores will also be present at both the Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair and the Tarrant County Back to School Roundup.
Since 2014, Walmart pharmacies have hosted Walmart Wellness Days and provided over five million free health screenings to customers.
