Indian batsman Virat Kohli sustained an injury during a net practice session leading up to the Champions Trophy final against New Zealand tomorrow (Sunday).
According to reports, Kohli was struck by a ball near his knee during the session, forcing him to pause his training.
Following the impact, the team’s physiotherapist immediately attended to Kohli, applying a spray and wrapping a bandage around the affected area.
Despite experiencing mild discomfort, the coaching staff downplayed the injury, indicating it was a minor issue.
Kohli remained at the ICC Academy practice session after the incident, suggesting that the injury may not be severe.
However, his condition was to be closely monitored as the team prepared for the high-stakes final.
