Maduro was taken to a helicopter and then transported to Manhattan, where he was taken into custody at the Brooklyn Detention Center. Venezuela’s First Lady Cilia Flores has denied the charges levied by the US against her during the trial and declared herself innocent. After the threat of another US operation in Venezuela, the country’s interim President Delcy Rodríguez has surrendered and offered to cooperate with the US.
The UN Secretary-General expressed concern over the situation in Venezuela during a Security Council meeting. A media report from London stated that the coldest night of the current season was recorded in Cumbria with a temperature of -10.9 degrees Celsius. According to a report, Colombian President Iván Duque stated that Trump’s team considered Maduro’s protests as a challenge to Washington’s morale and the last reason for the operation.
The head of Iran’s judiciary has ordered those involved in the unrest to comply with the law. Iran has demanded the immediate release of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
