Vanessa Bryant has paid an emotional tribute to her late husband, Kobe Bryant, on what would have been his 47th birthday. It has been over five years since the NBA legend died at the age of 41 in a helicopter crash, an accident that also claimed the life of his and Vanessa’s 13-year-old daughter, Gigi Bryant, and seven other people.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Vanessa posted a photo of her and Kobe, where she is seen kissing him on the cheek.
“We love and miss you and Gigi so much. Sending our love to you. Happy birthday, baby,” she wrote in the caption.
Vanessa is also the mother of Natalia Bryant, 22, Bianka Bryant, eight, and Capri Kobe Bryant, six. Her tribute comes just a month after she shared how her youngest child is following in her father’s footsteps. She posted a split image on Instagram showing Capri emulating Kobe’s stance while holding a basketball, with the caption, “Like father, like daughter.”
Additionally, two months earlier, her eldest daughter, Natalia, honored her father’s memory during her college graduation from the University of Southern California by including his trademarked sheath logo on her robe.
