The Biden administration has notified Congress of a proposed $8 billion arms sale to Israel, demonstrating continued U.S. support for its ally amidst the ongoing war in Gaza that has led to tens of thousands of deaths.
The deal requires approval from the House of Representatives and Senate committees and includes munitions for fighter jets, attack helicopters, artillery shells, small-diameter bombs, and warheads.
The U.S. State Department did not respond to a request for comment. U.S. policy remains largely unchanged, with previous sales of military equipment to Israel also approved.
