The board has been joined by nine countries from the Middle East and Asia, including Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Kuwait has also confirmed its participation in the board.
The board, which is part of Trump’s 20-point plan to end the Gaza conflict, will work towards establishing a lasting peace in the region, with a focus on securing a ceasefire, rebuilding Gaza, and promoting Palestinian self-determination. The board will be overseen by a Palestinian technical committee, which will handle the daily affairs of Gaza.
However, the Palestinian public and observers have expressed concerns over the board’s composition, citing the involvement of US and Israeli representatives. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office has also confirmed its participation in the board, despite criticisms from the Palestinian public, who have accused Benjamin Netanyahu of being responsible for the ongoing conflict.
