The citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have launched a strong resistance alongside security forces in the ongoing war against terrorism.
Over the past two days, residents from various parts of the province played a crucial role by foiling the attacks of the terrorist group Fitna Al-Khawarij, either forcing them to flee or eliminating them on the spot.
According to security sources, the terrorists attempted to infiltrate border villages of Dera Ismail Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan. Local villagers, through a swift and robust response, compelled the attackers to retreat from the area.
Following the incident, elders of nearby villages convened a large gathering on April 13th, during which they resolved not to permit any terrorist to enter their settlements.
In the Bachkan Ahmadzai area of Lakki Marwat, security forces, police, and the Village Defence Committee jointly conducted an operation and killed three terrorists belonging to Fitna Al-Khawarij. The militants tried to forcibly enter the locality, but their plan was thwarted.
On April 13th, terrorists attacked the homes of police personnel in the Toi Khullah area of South Waziristan and attempted to abduct them. The local population and police collectively mounted a fierce response that resulted in the deaths of three attackers.
Security forces arrived at the scene and took custody of the deceased terrorists’ bodies.
Defense experts stated that these events proved that the alliance between the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the security forces had transformed into a formidable barrier against terrorism. They asserted that such unity not only delivered a significant blow to the terrorists but also marked an important step towards regional peace.
According to the experts, these three incidents confirmed that the public would not hesitate to make any sacrifice for the peaceful future of their children. They added that this determination of the citizens and forces had instilled new spirit in the soldiers of the Pakistan Army, who have made countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
They remarked that this united front conveyed a clear message to Fitna Al-Khawarij: the vigilant people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the security forces would eradicate terrorism together.
