The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host an air parade on January 17 to commemorate the 2017 Yemeni rebel attack. The air display will feature fighter jets and helicopters flying across the country. Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy prime minister and defense minister of Dubai, appealed to the public to express unity at 11 am on weekdays by playing the UAE national anthem.
The air parade is being organized to commemorate the attack in which three people, including a Pakistani laborer, Muhammad Qamar Khan, lost their lives. The air display will start in Abu Dhabi and cover all the emirates of the UAE.
