The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs has advised U.S. citizens to reconsider travel to Pakistan “due to terrorism and the potential for armed conflict.”
The State Department specifically cautioned citizens against traveling to the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the Newly Merged Districts (formerly FATA), due to terrorism.
Furthermore, they urged individuals to avoid areas near the Pakistan-India border and the Line of Control due to the potential for terrorism and armed conflict.
