U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host a luncheon today in honor of Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. A White House spokesperson confirmed that the event will take place in the Cabinet Room, where Field Marshal Munir is also scheduled for a significant meeting with President Trump.
Earlier, a grand reception was held in Washington to welcome Field Marshal Asim Munir during his official visit to the United States. The overseas Pakistani community extended a warm welcome to the Army Chief, paying tribute to the bravery of the Pakistan Army, particularly for their efforts in Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous.
In his address, Field Marshal Munir lauded the role of overseas Pakistanis, referring to them as the nation’s true ambassadors. He underscored their vital contribution to Pakistan’s economic credibility and growth, recognizing their efforts in remittances, investments, and achievements across various sectors.
The Army Chief described the expatriate community as the backbone of national development. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening ties and collaboration with the overseas Pakistani community to tackle challenges and collectively work towards a prosperous Pakistan. Members of the diaspora shared their thoughts, experiences, and suggestions with the Army Chief, reaffirming their commitment to building a stronger, safer, and more stable Pakistan.
