U.S. Congressman and Republican leader Joe Wilson has announced that he is preparing a special legislative act to impose sanctions on Pakistani officials responsible for Imran Khan’s conviction.
🔹 The proposed bill, titled ‘Pakistan Democracy Act,’ aims to penalize individuals within the Pakistani government who played a role in Imran Khan’s legal cases and imprisonment.
🔹 Joe Wilson stated that his initiative is intended to protect democratic principles and human rights.
🔹 He is a member of the House Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Committees and also serves as the chairman of the Republican Policy Committee.
🔹 Recently, he also met with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to the U.S.
This announcement comes at a time when Pakistan’s political landscape remains tense, and Imran Khan’s conviction continues to draw international attention.
