U.S. President Donald Trump has finally explained the reason for his mysterious and unannounced hospital visit on October 10, putting an end to weeks of speculation. Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump revealed that he went to the hospital for an MRI scan.
“I had an MRI and it was perfect,” Trump stated, expressing confidence in his health.
The visit was initially considered unusual because it fell outside the typically scheduled annual medical check-up for U.S. presidents. At the time, the White House did not provide a specific reason and simply called it a “routine check-up,” which only fueled more rumors.
Defending his transparency, Trump added, “Nobody has given you reports as detailed as I have. If I thought the report wasn’t good, I would tell you.” His physician has also confirmed that his health is “excellent for his age.”
This clarification comes as Trump’s physical health remains under close public scrutiny. In recent days, bruising and swelling have been repeatedly observed on his right hand, often reportedly covered with makeup. The White House attributed these marks to aspirin, which Trump takes as part of his routine heart health regimen.
Last summer, the administration also confirmed the president was examined for swelling in his legs. He was diagnosed with Chronic Venous Insufficiency, a common condition where vein valves do not function correctly, causing blood to pool.
