Sources revealed on Wednesday that a tri-nation T20I series, featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is likely to be played in the UAE ahead of the Asia Cup.
According to these sources, discussions are currently underway to transform the initially planned bilateral T20 series between Pakistan and Afghanistan into a tri-nation tournament by incorporating the UAE cricket team.
Originally, Afghanistan was scheduled to tour Pakistan in August for a T20 series. However, plans are now being re-evaluated to organize a triangular series instead.
Should it be finalized, this tri-series would serve as a crucial preparatory event for the participating teams leading up to the Asia Cup.
