Tom Felton, known for his portrayal of the antagonist Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, shared insights into how the cast stays connected.
In a recent interview with People at the grand opening of the Harry Potter Shop in Chicago on April 9th, the actor reminisced about the “happy memories” of his time as a student at Hogwarts.
Tom told the outlet that choosing a single favorite memory from the eleven years of filming the eight movies is challenging, but he particularly enjoyed one aspect of being in the wizarding world.
“Lots of hours with this in my hand,” he said, gesturing to a wand he picked up from the store, adding, “So it’s kind of cool to see that again. Yeah, many happy memories.”
While revealing that the entire cast remains in contact through an original cast group on WhatsApp, Tom disclosed that everyone, including Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), are still “very close.”
“Yeah, we’re all very tight still, very close. We’re usually in four corners of the earth at the same time, so it’s difficult to round us all up together. But Slytherins and Gryffindors are friendly,” Tom shared.
Sharing the last message he sent to the group, Tom noted, “In fact, I just took a video of the store and sent it to them.”
