HOLLYWOOD – Hollywood star Tom Cruise is reportedly proceeding with caution in his relationship with actress Ana de Armas, having allegedly received advice from his Mission Impossible (MI) co-star, Hayley Atwell, according to reports from Radar Online.
Cruise, known for his relentless commitment to daring stunts and major film projects, is said to be intensely focused on his current romance. However, an industry insider claims Atwell has urged the actor to take precautions to safeguard himself from potential heartbreak.
The source clarified that the relationship between Cruise and Atwell, who received major roles in the seventh and eighth instalments of the MI franchise, is not romantic but is one of mutual respect and familiarity.
“Tom and Hayley have an interesting relationship that’s really evolved over the five years that they’ve known each other,” the insider told the outlet. “They have a bit of a big brother/little sister dynamic going on – and even though Tom has decades of experience in the business and in public life, Hayley has become protective of him.”
The source noted that the dynamic has shifted recently as Cruise has seemingly devoted more time to de Armas.
Atwell’s reported concern stems from Cruise’s well-known tendency to immerse himself completely in his pursuits, including his romantic life. The insider observed that Atwell, who is described as being “conservative and buttoned-up,” views Cruise’s all-in approach as a “recipe for getting your heart broken and your dreams shattered.”
Despite the cautionary note from his colleague, Cruise appears to be embracing the relationship wholeheartedly.
