Tom Cruise has arrived in South Korea for the premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and shared his thoughts on the ‘pressure’ that comes with the ‘privilege’ of fame.
The star spoke candidly about fame during a press conference held before the premiere.
According to Just Jared, he began by saying, “We have a saying, which is ‘pressure is a privilege’.”
And “the thing I also have realized about myself is how much I enjoy the pressure, how much I enjoy the responsibility of making movies.”
Even when “People ask if I’m not scared when facing various difficulties. Honestly, I am,” Cruise admitted.
But “It’s okay to feel those emotions and I’m not afraid of them. I don’t just look for what’s safe,” the 62-year-old actor even stated.
For those unfamiliar with the film, it features a cast including Pom Klementieff, Greg Tarzan Davis, Hayley Atwell, and Simon Pegg.
The film’s co-writer and director, Christopher McQuarrie, also attended the event.
