David Corenswet, set to portray Superman in the upcoming film, recently shared candid details about his meeting with Christopher Reeve’s son, Will Reeve.
In a conversation with ‘Entertainment Weekly,’ the 31-year-old American actor discussed his encounter with Will Reeve, who previously played Superman in 2024, and what it was like having him on the set of the forthcoming ‘Superman’ movie.
David remarked, “Will is great. He is the Superman type for obvious reasons. He’s tall, he’s handsome, and he’s got a great smile. Having him show up and give his support in that moment was very heartwarming.”
The ‘Twisters’ star also noted, “He also got to meet my kid when she was only a few months old. She happened to be on set that day, too. I don’t think she’ll remember it, but that was a nice little thing, as well, a little parallel.”
Notably, in a July 2024 discussion with ‘TMZ,’ Will confirmed his cameo appearance as a professional journalist, much like Clark Kent, in the 2025 ‘Superman’ movie. This confirmation came after images of him from the set were leaked through ‘Cleveland.com.’
“I know the folks making the film, and they’ve been so kind to me and my family, and I had a free day so we made it [happen],” he stated at the time.
It’s important to mention that the new ‘Superman’ film, directed by James Gunn, is slated for release on July 11, 2025.
