Karachi: Immigration authorities have arrested three Afghan women attempting to travel from Karachi to Germany using fraudulent medical and business documents. According to FIA immigration officials, one of the women, Azizah Mohammadi, had entered Pakistan on a medical treatment visa.
As per the records provided, she was reportedly undergoing treatment at an international hospital in Islamabad from April 27 to May 20, 2024. However, upon checking her passport, it was revealed that she had never visited Pakistan since her passport was issued.
Similarly, another Afghan woman, Mahriya Rahmani, entered Pakistan on a business visa. During document verification, it was discovered that she was supposedly on a business trip to Pakistan with her husband, Iqbal Hakimi. When questioned about her husband, Rahmani claimed she was unmarried and denied knowing anyone named Iqbal Hakimi.
The third Afghan woman, Zahra Sultani, had presented documents stating that she entered Pakistan on September 2 as an attendant for a patient named Merman Parveen Sultani. Upon investigation, it was found that no such patient, Merman Parveen Sultani, had ever entered Pakistan. It was proven during the inquiry that Zahra Sultani had obtained a Pakistani visa fraudulently under the guise of attending to a patient.
All three women have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, where legal cases are being registered against them.
