A Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) medical worker has become the thirteenth from the organization to be killed since the war in Gaza began. The nurse, Hussein Alnajjar, was a father of three who had worked at the international organization’s clinics in Deir al Balah and Khan Yunis since January of last year.
His sister-in-law and nephew were also injured in the same airstrike. In a statement, the organization expressed its outrage, saying, “We are outraged that military violence continues to kill our Palestinian colleagues.” Since October 2023, at least 540 aid workers have been killed in Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza.
