Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has shared charming details of his initial encounters with his wife, superstar Katrina Kaif, revealing that their formal introduction was facilitated by renowned comedian Sunil Grover.
Speaking during a recent show, Kaushal recounted that his first interaction with Katrina took place on stage during an awards show where he was hosting and she was performing. He recalled dancing with her to her famous song, ‘Chikni Chameli,’ and later, Sunil Grover formally introduced them backstage.
Vicky humorously described their memorable first meeting:
“I was only supposed to go on stage to say goodnight, but within five minutes of meeting me, Katrina started giving me advice on how to host the show.”
He then recounted the defining moment that sparked their public romance: a scripted segment during a subsequent awards show where he jokingly asked Katrina on stage, “Why don’t you marry a nice guy like me?” Kaushal stressed that there was no romantic relationship between them at the time, but the clip instantly went viral. This viral moment, he confirmed, was the exact point where speculations began, which later blossomed into a real and strong relationship.
Vicky also shared a personal anecdote from their courtship, where Katrina, believing a Punjabi song was romantic, recorded and sent it to him. This gesture, he said, showed him how much she loved Punjabi culture.
Following years of speculation, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot in a beautiful, private ceremony on December 9, 2021. Most recently, on November 7, 2025, the couple shared the joyous news of the birth of their first child, receiving an outpouring of love from fans globally.
