Senior Pakistani model and actress Iffat Omar has disclosed the surprising reason behind her decision not to make any close friends during her extensive career in the show business industry. Iffat Omar has been a part of the industry for nearly three decades, demonstrating her talent in both modeling and acting.
In a recent interview, the actress revealed that despite spending such a long period in the world of glamour, she has no actual friends within the industry.
Detailing her high standards for friendship and the reality of the entertainment world, Iffat Omar stated:
“For me, a friend is someone who stands by you through thick and thin, but it is very difficult for people in showbiz to do that. Everyone has their own compulsions.”
She clarified further, stating that while there are some people in the industry whom she considers ‘mentors’ because she respects their stature, forming deep friendships in a professional workplace environment is challenging.
The actress also spoke frankly about the reality of relationships and love, presenting a stern but realistic perspective:
“In love, there is no concept of living or dying for each other; no one ever dies for anyone. People move on in life, and that is the reality of the world. Everyone lives the life and destiny that is written for them.”
Iffat Omar also made it clear that she dislikes people who give up and “start crying that they will die.” Her statements shed light on the loneliness and the limited nature of professional relationships that often hide behind the glitz and glamour of the showbiz industry.
