Ahead of the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, Sydney Sweeney openly discussed her profound connection to her role.
In a recent interview with Empire magazine, the 27-year-old actress shared her affection for portraying Cassie Howard in the HBO series.
“I have such a soft spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear,” Sydney expressed. “She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes.”
The actress continued, “She’s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love, as well.” She added, “It’s so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is.”
“Sam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I’ll read something, then I’ll call him, and I’m like, ‘Let’s go crazier.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m all in,’” the Anyone But You actress revealed.
When asked if the upcoming installment would be more unhinged, she replied, “Yes,” with a laugh.
For those unaware, the second season of Euphoria premiered in early 2022.
