HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities have recovered the body of a swimmer from the San Jacinto River after a man reported his friend missing on Saturday.
The search began that afternoon on Muleshoe Lake at Highway 90 near the San Jacinto River after a man informed authorities that his friend had not resurfaced after jumping into the water.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that marine deputies, along with Texas Parks and Wildlife, conducted a search that continued into late Saturday evening. The body was eventually recovered.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim.
