FLORIDA — Just days before former President Donald Trump’s scheduled visit to Florida, authorities discovered suspicious objects near the Air Force One arrival zone at Palm Beach International Airport, prompting swift action from the U.S. Secret Service.
According to initial reports, the items appeared to be part of a “suspicious stand” positioned directly across from the spot where Trump typically exits the aircraft. The discovery immediately triggered a joint investigation involving the FBI, Secret Service, and local law enforcement agencies.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that agents are “closely examining the materials found” as part of heightened security measures ahead of Trump’s weekend visit to Florida.
He emphasized that “no potential threat can be ignored” during such a sensitive period of political and public activity.
Authorities have clarified that no individuals were present at the scene during the discovery.
Security across the airport’s restricted zones has been tightened while investigations continue, and so far, there have been no changes to Trump’s travel schedule.
