HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Charges have been filed against a man accused of pointing a gun at an electric utility worker in southwest Houston on Saturday morning.
The suspect, 38-year-old Anthony Aloric Leonard, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Houston police.
The incident took place around 8:40 a.m. in the 1900 block of Wilcrest Drive.
CenterPoint Energy CEO Jason Wells reported that over 100 line workers, who were working on power restoration, had to be evacuated from the scene due to the incident.
Leonard allegedly fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by police.
