A soldier from the Pakistan army embraced martyrdom, while four terrorists were killed when security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Maddi, located in the Dera Ismail Khan District. This operation was carried out based on reports indicating the presence of Khwarij, according to a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
As per the details shared by ISPR, during the execution of the operation, the troops effectively engaged the location where the Khwarij were present. Consequently, four of these individuals were killed.
The statement further elaborated, “However, amidst an intense exchange of fire, one valiant son of the soil, Sepoy Basit Siddique (aged 23 years and a resident of Attock District), after fighting with immense bravery, made the ultimate sacrifice and was honored with martyrdom.”
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who, according to ISPR, had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities within the region.
The statement also mentioned that a sanitization operation was carried out to ensure the removal of any other Khwarij potentially present in the area. The security forces of Pakistan remain steadfast in their commitment to eradicate terrorism from the nation. “Such sacrifices made by our courageous soldiers only fortify our resolve.”
