A significant development has been reported in the case of a student who attempted to take her own life at a private university in Lahore. The student, identified as Fatima, is now recovering at the ICU of the General Hospital.
According to the hospital administration, Fatima’s condition has shown significant improvement, and she has been taken off the ventilator. She is still receiving oxygen support, and her hemodynamic status is stable. The incident occurred at the same university where a student, Muhammad Awais, had attempted to take his life by jumping off a building two weeks ago.
The hospital administration has informed that Fatima has had a conversation with her family members and that a review of her spinal surgery will be conducted tomorrow. Chairman of the Medical Board, Professor Jaudat Salim, has briefed the principal of the university, Professor Farooq Afzal, on Fatima’s current and future treatment plans.
The situation in Lahore is expected to remain dry with a possibility of cold temperatures at night. Similarly, northern districts of Balochistan are expected to experience severe cold temperatures today. It is reported that pressure related to desired marriage and education is being reviewed. Two flights from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah have landed in Islamabad, and only two government and nine private hospitals in Balochistan meet the health services standards.
