A tragic incident has occurred in Jaipur, the capital of India’s Rajasthan state, where a 6th-grade student died after falling from the fourth floor of her private school in what is being treated as an alleged suicide.
Police reported that the student, Amaira, suffered severe injuries after the fall. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival. Amaira was reportedly the only child of her parents.
Authorities have retrieved CCTV footage from the school premises, and forensic experts have been called to collect evidence from the scene.
The case took a serious turn after a spokesperson for the Joint Parents Association claimed it was a suicide directly linked to the student being “distressed” by a teacher’s behavior. “We have spoken to several students, and it has emerged that the girl jumped from the fourth floor because she was heartbroken by a teacher’s conduct,” the spokesperson alleged.
Furthermore, the association made a severe accusation against the school administration, claiming they “attempted to destroy evidence by cleaning the scene of the incident.”
Police officials have stated that the exact cause of Amaira’s death will only be confirmed after a complete investigation and the post-mortem examination.
